Sustainable horticulture begins with recycled water

Learn More

Horticultural development is dependent on affordable, reliable, and climate-independent water, delivered on demand.

We own and operate an irrigation water service to supply small farms with as much water as they want and need for their horticultural businesses.

LouWater is extending the distribution of recycled water produced at Bolivar to increase its productive use for regional development.

One of the original irrigators who created the Virginia Pipeline Scheme (VPS) in 1998, Louis Marafioti always shared his water with his neighbours. He contributed to many initiatives to extend the network further, and in 2025 he created LouWater in collaboration with John Gransbury, an experienced water engineer, to develop and operate this VPS extension.

We can work together.

A lot of work has already been done, but we’ve got a lot more to do.

We need more customers, we need approvals, and we need help from contractors and suppliers.

We will use the best technology we can find to maximise the convenience of our service to our customers so they can produce great food for their customers.
